As Paul rolls into Corinth, we get a bit of a window into him being a little more human than we may have thought about him. He admits in 1 Corinthians that he came into town with weakness, fear, and much trembling. Yet, God meets him in that fear and offers him incredible comfort.

For most of us, our home is the place we feel the safest, the most secure. That’s pretty normal and to be expected. But home can be taken away from you by any number of events or circumstances. So where then do you look for security, for rest, for peace, for refuge? David points to only one place, one Person who can provide that for us.
In the middle of another election cycle here in the US of A, we are drawn to the candidates, looking for someone who is going to give us a quick fix to the complex issues of the nation. Isaiah speaks of a moment in history 2800 years ago, and only the names have changed.
