The church seems to be growing exponentially, when all of a sudden King Herod attacks the church and kills one of the apostles. That seemed to please the Jews, so he arrested the Most Wanted of the Christians – Peter. They hit their knees in an overnight prayer service, and God answered in the most unusual (and humorous) way.
As the cross looms large in Jesus' story, he sits down to a much anticipated dinner with his disciples – the Passover meal – a story full of rich history and remembering, a meal full of significance and joy, a meal full of promise and hope – a meal he leaves unfinished.
At only age 12, Jesus is already getting a picture of what his mission is here on earth. But instead of taking charge and building his army, he prepares for ministry by obeying Joseph and Mary.
