CANCELLATIONS
When the weather gets a little bit crazy here in Iowa, there is always the possibility that we will cancel services. We load in all of our equipment, chairs, and supplies every single Sunday, so when temperatures plummet – we give the set up team a break by not making them spend an hour in subzero temperatures. It’s one of the ways we show appreciation to them for the work they do week in and week out.
In the event of cold or excessive snow, cancellations will be made and posted by 6:00am Sunday morning. If you want to know if services are canceled, there are several ways to find that information:

2. KCRG.com
3. River City social media (@rivercityia)
4. Text message. If you would like to receive text messages for church announcements, last minute changes, and weather related cancelations, please text the word rivercity to 97000. You’ll receive an automated reply that lets you know you’re in our system!
If you’ve checked all of those options and you don’t see anything saying we’ve cancelled – WE’RE ON! If you decide that the weather is too bad for you to venture out, especially if you live on secondary roads in Washington or Johnson County, please join us on the livestream link below.
