NO GATHERING THIS SUNDAY: This Sunday is our Annual Summer Sabbath, where we hit pause on our Sunday gatherings for rest and renewal. It’s easy to get so engrained in our routines that we forget to ever pause and remember that Jesus is the builder of the Church, not us.

On Summer Sabbath, we encourage people to visit other churches, spend a quiet morning alone with the Lord, sleep in, enjoy the outdoors – that sort of thing. You might even consider adding fasting to the day. There aren’t really any rules, other than to say that getting up early and working hard at your to-do list would defeat the purpose.
